FAQ

Common questions, answered plainly.

How does Dampex actually work?+
Each container holds moisture-absorbing crystals (calcium chloride dihydrate). They draw water vapour out of the air and gradually dissolve, collecting the liquid in a reservoir at the base of the container — no electricity or moving parts involved.
Which scent should I choose?+
Unscented is the neutral default. Lavender and Fresh Linen suit bedrooms, wardrobes and living spaces; Lemon is a popular pick for caravans and boats. All four use the same crystal formulation, so the choice is purely about fragrance.
Do I need to plug it in or charge it?+
No. Dampex is fully passive — there's no electricity, batteries or moving parts.
Where should I put it?+
Anywhere enclosed and prone to damp air: house, office, caravan, garage or boat. Stand it on a flat, stable surface away from the edge.
How do I know when to replace it?+
Replace the container once the crystals have fully dissolved or the reservoir has filled with liquid.
Is Dampex safe to have around the house?+
Follow the label directions — keep it out of reach of children and pets, and don't remove the white membrane layer. Full safety information is printed on every pack and on each product page.
Do you sell to trade or wholesale buyers?+
Yes — see the trade panel on our Where to Buy page for bulk pricing and dispatch details.
Where can I buy Dampex?+
Dampex is available through a small number of online marketplaces — see the Where to Buy page for the current list.
